Died peacefully after a short struggle with cancer at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on August 16, 2011 at 80 years of age. Predeceased by beloved wife Carol (nee Bowman). Loving father of Judy Oke (Chris). Grandfather to Lily and Ethan Oke. Survived by brothers Clarence of Elmira, Sidney of Cambridge, Carl of Clarence Centre, N.Y., Leonard of Atwood; sisters Martha Shupe of Ottawa, Alice Metzger and Sally Shantz both of Waterloo. Predeceased by sisters Sarah Martin, Mary Brubacher and brother Emmanuel. If you so desire, donations to Freeport Hospital Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visiting Mon.
