At St. Mary's Hospital, on Sunday February 14, 2016 in his 76th year, Djuro succumbed to his battle with cancer. Predeceased by his loving wife Andja (January 28, 2004), he will be missed by his children Milan Knez and Svetlana Knez. Djuro arrived in Canada in Pembroke, Ontario. Shortly after, he relocated to Kitchener and brought his dear Andja to join him in 1968. They were both extremely loving parents and founding members of Sveta Trojica (Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church), where Djuro's funeral service will take place on Thursday February 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The Knez Family will receive friends during a reception at Holy Trinity Hall following interment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
