Doreen Torcov

Doreen is now reunited with her husband James. Cherished mother to Jim Torcov (Dawn) and Jacqueline Torcov (Geoff). Proud Nanny to her grandchildren Jamie (Hannah), Justin (Maiya), Tyler (Brooklyn), Anthony, Travis and Julia; great grandchild Delilah. Dear sister to Ettie, Anne, Elsie, Alfreda, Alton (Hope) and Bill (Pat). Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Delilah Duval and brother Steadman.

Doreen worked for Steinberg's for many years. She enjoyed escaping the long Canadian winters for the last 25 plus years as an Arizona Snowbird. She has many friends and loved ones in both countries who will cherish the beautiful memories each has created for her. Doreen was involved in many social activities in both countries; YWCA, Venture Out Shuffleboard, Widowers Group to name a few. Doreen was the Shuffleboard Champion several times and has won many trophies over the years. She enjoyed playing cards and games with her friends and family and was very competitive. Her friends called her the Energizer Bunny. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends as she brought so much joy and love to all.

Family will receive guests on Saturday, March 23rd at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre (1001 Ottawa St South, Kitchener) for visitation from 11am until the service time at 2 pm. Light refreshments will also be available during this time. Burial to follow at Williamsburg Cemetery. All are welcome to join.
