 
One thing I will always remember is convincing my grandpa to camp out in a tent in their backyard. I specifically remember looking at him with his winter hat tucked behind his ears and saying “grandpa what’s wrong with your hat”. Halfway through the night it started thunder storming. If you were to ask him he would’ve told you I was running across the deck saying “grandpa save me” to get inside out of the rain.  Another one of my favourite memories was playing the “got you last game”. Anytime before I left his house I would tag him and say “I got you last” and run into the car to lock all the doors. He would run out to the car window and try and get me last every time I saw him (Btw I always won). My grandpa also loved to fish and take us to the pond in Aire. I remember going with him many times and asking to go sit under the Zamboni; which is what I thought gazebos were called at the time. I will also never forget him telling me that I should be a model anytime he would see me. I know I am, as well as everyone else who was there that we are forever grateful for our last Easter together. Just last month we got together for Easter where he was still making jokes and even had us all in tears of laughter.  The last memory that is special to me is from only about a month ago when I was visiting and he got up out of his wheelchair to join us and hit a few golf balls in mini golf.
Grandpa, you will always be so special to all of us and i will always remember all the fun times we’ve had together. I am forever grateful that I got to spend your last moments with you and I hope you enjoyed your last ride in the cougar like you always wanted.


If you knew my grandpa you would also know he was the kindest, most hard-working and funniest person you would meet. He was always making jokes and trying to make someone laugh regardless of the situation. I also know that he loved all of us very much. It’s always been very clear to me growing up and even until his last weeks how much he loved my grandma. From insisting he carried her purse even when he was in his wheelchair— to saving half of his lunch that the nurses would bring him so that my grandma could have some. He loved her very much and I know he loved all of us just as equally. He was always so happy to see all of his grandkid's accomplishments like buying new cars. Even if he couldn’t tell you what day of the week it was,  I know he probably would’ve been able to tell you about mine or my brothers new cars and probably even how many kilometres where on them too.  I know he would be so proud of all of us. 


I have such fond memories of dear Uncle Ted, from a young child up into adulthood.
I remember him and Uncle Mark throwing all of us to each other in Aunt Debbie's house in Elmira.
I remember crazy campfires at the Durham Conservation area and all day fishing trips.
I remember bear hugs when entering the house on Cedar St and how I used to sneak to the basement to look at the textbooks he was studying from - what an impressive accomplishment
I remember the fun-loving way he would tease me (all the time) right before offering me a beer.
I am inspired by his move from humble beginnings to a very successful life complete with a beautiful home and family.
I love this guy and he will forever hold a special place in my soul.

Ted was a gem!  A big jokester and true family man.  
Thanks for all the years of fun teasing and letting me be part of your great family!
