Much loved wife of the late Harlo (2015). Esther will be lovingly remembered by her children Kim (Nick) Barbato and Darryl (Tammy) Ackernecht. She leaves precious memories with her grandchildren Sean, Carter, Abby, John (Nicole), Chris (Christina), Andy (Eloise), Elisabeth (Raf), as well as with her great grandchildren Luca, Sophia, Theo, Gemma, Alex and George. Dear sister of Joyce and Gerald. Predeceased by her parents Milton and Marie Weiss, and her brothers Calvin and Melvin. Esther will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched and will always have a special place in the hearts of the Fergin and Weiss families.
Esther's family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, 1177 Queen St., New Dundee, on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Jim Koellner officiating. Interment will follow at New Dundee Union Cemetery.
