Passed away peacefully on May 7, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital, at 87 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Robert L. MacLeod (1996) and previously married to Stuart W. Eidt. Loving mother of Brian (Mary Lou) Eidt; Brad (Lenia) Eidt; Lori Clausing (Don Hurlock). Dear Brian, Brad & Lorrie & all the family: I have just looked at the photo album online - it is marvellous - it made me so aware of all the years that have passed and that all of you had so many happy years together with your Mother and Bob. She was an inspiration to me and was my favourite auntie. My mother and father, Lucille and Oliver Kerr were very fond of Floris and always kept in contact. She really did have a remarkable and good life, but we will miss her. Kind regards, Doug & Judie Bowlby, New Hamburg.

I would like to elaborate a previous story I shared about Floris when we worked together at JM Schneiders. I have a great appreciation for her when she told me the story about herself being born a premie. I misprinted the weight of my son Chris, born 5 pounds 15 oz. It should have been 2 pounds 15 oz. Yes 2 pounds not 5. The reason I am correcting this is because of Floris's birth weight. I remember Floris telling me she was around a pound, and her mom put her all bundled up in the open door of the old cook stove. She gave me reassurance with my two pounder that he would be just fine as she was born less then half that weight. I am correcting this just to show you an example of her deep care for others, her intent to give hope and courage to others. She has always been special to me, and I often thought of how she and my son came into the world so small, and yet how they were so big in the hearts of so many! I apologize for the misprint and hope you understand why I had to correct this! Floris was my mentor during my childbearing years! Again my deepest condolences to all of Floris's family!

Our very deepest of sympathy and love to all the family of beautiful Floris! My husband Garry and myself Cheryl, worked with Flo at JMSchneider in the Bacon Department on the half pound line! She was a beautiful lady inside and out, and I do mean a 'lady'. She was very special and close to me at heart! I remember going to her home after work on several occassions, she held party demonstrations with all us girlfriends, we were younger, but she blended right in with us! She was so much fun to be around! We spent one special time at her home, I believe it was her retirement, I remember us girls being all dressed up for her to celebrate! I really loved Flo, and saw her a few years ago at the JMS Golden Age Christmas Lunch. We had pictures taken with her, I will try to upload them to share her beautiful smile with everyone. She and I were very close back in the day, she told me stories about how she was a premie, born even less weight then my first born son, Chris born at 5pounds 15 oz. She gave me encouragement, and hope that he would be fine, and he is now 35 and healthy! I often think of Flo and I am so deeply saddened to learn of her passing. Floris will always hold a very, very special place within my heart, I will never forget her, she was one special lady and friend, always an inspiration for the way she looked after herself, her beautiful smile, the way she dressed, her hair, her personality, her love for her family, she was a gem in my world, and I am so Blessed to have shared so many great times with her! HUGS and LOVE! Garry and Cheryl Kocher (Collins)
