

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Shirley Flesher (nee Cooper) (1942-2017), his son James Eric Flesher (1968-2003) and his grandson Avery Levely-Flesher (1993-2017). Survived by his daughters Cheryl Bentley (Bill) of Waterloo, ON, and Moira Metcalfe (Tim) of Port Stanley, ON. Grandfather to Devon and Meagan Bentley, Chloe and Max Metcalfe, Jesseny Levely-Flesher and Cayden Larocque.
Eric was born in Grangemouth, Scotland, but raised in Cardonald, Glasgow from 1940 where he served an apprenticeship as an electrician. He served 3 years military service in the Royal Air Force Police, stationed at RAF Aldergrove, Northern Ireland from 1959-62. In 1966, he and Shirley immigrated to Canada with their two daughters, first settling in Sault-Ste-Marie, ON, where their son Jamie was born. The family relocated to Sarnia, ON in 1968 where Eric was employed by Fiberglass Canada as a maintenance electrician. In 1976 he returned to work in electrical construction, becoming an "A" member of Local 530 IBEW, until his retirement in 1998. Eric and Shirley volunteered (14+ years) and eventually became Team Leaders with Sarnia-Lambton Victim services.
Cremation has taken place and per Eric's wishes a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
