Passed away peacefully at the age of 66 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer at the Grand River Hospital, following Mothers Day, May 9, 2011. Cherished wife of Pietro for 45 years. Loving mother of Nick, John and his wife Jennifer of St. Catharines. Dearly beloved Nonna to Andrew (her “Sunshine”) and Cameron (her “Little Star”). Survived by her parents Caterina and Domenico, brothers Pietro (Chiara) and Vincenzo (Graziella) of Chiaravalle Centrale, Italy, and Francesco (Roxanne) Sestito of Kitchener. She was an extremely caring and compassionate individual who touched many lives of the people around her and who valued friendship and family the most. Selfless beyond description and generous beyond words, Giulia will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Visitation Thursday 7-9 and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Westmount Funeral Chapel (1001 Ottawa St 519-743-8900) Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10 am at St. Mark Parish (55 Driftwood Dr.) with Fr. Adrian Lee, a close friend, officiating. Entombment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
