It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jenepher Anne Sheppard, a beloved mother, Nana, and cherished friend, who left us on the first day of spring, at the age of 74.
Born on January 20, 1950, to Grace and Jack Walton, Jenepher grew up in Orillia and later made Kitchener, Ontario her home. A talented pianist, she was passionate about music and dedicated over 35 years to nurturing young minds as an elementary school educational assistant and a private piano teacher.
Survived by her loving children, Stephanie Bell (David), Joanna Sheppard (Celine) and Elizabeth Sheppard, Jenepher found joy in her grandchildren Ava Grace, Jack and Henry. A book, newspaper, or crochet hook always in her hands, she loved her time at the family cottage in Sprucedale and the laughter of her family.
A celebration of Jenepher’s life will be held on Monday, March 25, at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa Street South, Kitchener, Ontario at 7:00 p.m. where we will honour her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the KW Kiwanis Music Festival - Music Lessons Bursary Program or the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by beautiful music.
