June is now reunited in glory with her beloved husband of 60 years, Colin Whiteman (2016). She leaves behind a family who cherished her deeply: her children Ian Whiteman and Pam (Tim) Windsor; her grandchildren Melissa (Andrew) Moffat and Chris (Emily) Windsor; and her great-grandchildren Jude and Gwen, who brought her immense joy.
She was the dear sister of Mavis Cliffe (predeceased by husband Alan), brother the late John (the late Eunice) Cox and a loving aunt to Stephen Cox and the late Hazel Cox, Mike (Cindy) Cliffe and their daughters Nichole, Hayley, and MacKenzie, the late David Cliffe and his late wife Debbie, and their children Alan, Daniella, and Danny.
A devoted and dear friend to Maureen Deuerlein, June was also known as “Aunty June” to Ann, Katherine, Jessica, and Christine, whose lives were enriched by her love and care.
June’s kindness and sweet spirit touched countless lives. She had a gift for hospitality—always ready with a gentle smile, and a welcoming heart. Her laughter was infectious, her joy genuine, and her faith unwavering. Even in the midst of the pain and heartache brought by dementia in her later years, June never lost her grateful heart or the gentle sweetness that defined her.
She knew how to love deeply and well. Everyone who knew June experienced that rare and beautiful gift—and for that, she will be profoundly missed.
Though we grieve her loss, we rejoice that she is now free from struggle and dancing with Jesus in her eternal home.
