It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother Katherine Florence (Wilkins) Hawkshaw at Morriston Park on Nov. 3, 2013 where she received compassionate and tender care. She was born in Port Hope, Ontario on Aug. 14, 1927. She was predeceased by her husband Bill on Sept. 11, 2012 and her son John In Jan. 20, 1994, survived by her sister Ellen Farrow of New Castle. She will be greatly missed by her children Jim & Sandy; Doug & Sue; Connie & Paul; Edwina & Robert; and Robert & Sue. Mom will be cherished by her 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7 – 9 pm at Westmount Funeral Chapel ( 1001 Ottawa St. S. 519-743-8900). A funeral service will be held at Christ the King United Church (167 Thaler Ave., Kitchener) on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers we ask you to consider making a lovely donation to Christ the King United Church as this was a major part of her life or to an organization of your choice.
