HIEBERT, KATHERINE ELIZABETH – “Kay”, as she was fondly called by all who knew her, died on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at her residence in Belleville, Ontario. Daughter of the late Frank Szuck and the late Margaret Pfister, she was predeceased by her husband Henry, with whom she was married fifty-two years. She is survived by sons Frank (Irene) and Ron (Lynn), grandchildren Andrea, Patti (Rob) Clark, Laura (Adrian) Baker, Cyndi, and Elana, and by great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kyle and Kevyn Clark.
Kay was a graduate of Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate, and was an employee in the office of B.F. Goodrich in Kitchener, prior to having her family. Later she became employed with the University of Waterloo eventually serving in an executive administrative position for the VP Finance and Operations.
Individually but also along with husband Henry, she served in many capacities with charitable organizations and causes throughout her community.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at WESTMOUNT MEMORIAL CELEBRATION CENTRE, 1001 Ottawa St. South, Kitchener, Ontario, Saturday January 12, 2019 at 2pm, with visitation 1hr earlier at 1pm. A separate occasion will be conducted for friends in Belleville and area. Donations to Breslau Mennonite Church, Plan Canada, or other charity of your choice are appreciated.
