Kathleen "Kay" Margaret Vermeeren

She passed away peacefully on Sunday June 27, 2021 at The Village of Winston Park LTC after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Beloved sweetheart and wife of the late Jack Vermeeren. Loving mother of Jane Paterson (Brad), Kim Vermeeren and John Vermeeren (Karen). Granny will be forever missed by her cherished grandchildren Benton, James, Sidney, Cassidy, Jackie, Amy and Jack and great grandchildren Aubrey, Eren and Maelle.

Kay was born in Kitchener and met Jack when they were both in high school at K-W Collegiate. She studied at the Victoria School of Nursing in London Ontario and worked as a nurse at East York and Huntsville Hospitals. Kay and Jack travelled the world with their family and wherever they landed Kay made it a cozy home. She made the best chocolate chip cookies in the world and could create a gourmet dinner out of anything in the fridge. She loved her doll collection, finding bargains at garage sales and anything with cows. She is together again with her adoring husband and we can picture him greeting her with a “Hi Darling” ♥
