a dynamic woman in her 104th year of life on February 1, 2023.
Lillian was born on January 20, 1920 at her family home in Mildmay ( now the Post Office ) and has been a resident of Waterloo.
Lillian was predeceased by husband Edward ( Eddie ) Weiss (1976); son Gary Weiss (2012) ; parents Dora Zimmerman and Samuel Siderson ; and by brothers Harold Siderson (2009) and Irving Siderson.
Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Carmen & Michael Weiss; great granddaughter Mya Weiss; daughter-in-law Fay Weiss; nieces Cheryl Jansen and Betty Kay; great nephews Sean Corson (Maricel) and Ian and great niece Eloise. Deeply missed and cherished by Lorree Reid, Julie McKechnie and Nancy Murray.
Lillian was the eldest living member of Beth Jacob Synagogue. She spearheaded the Hadassah Bazaar fundraiser for 30 years and the Canadian Cancer Daffodil Tea and Fashion Show fundraiser for 20 years. She was also an active member of the Confederation Club where she has many friends.
Lillian had a passion for fashion; fine dining and was easily recognized by her signature red hair. In her honour donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
A graveside service will take place at Beth Jacob Cemetery, 2102 Victoria Street S. Kitchener, Ontario on Friday, February 3 at 11:00 am.
A private Shiva will be observed.
