Maria "Moyra" Hansen Wassell (McCormack) Bayliss

Moyra was the devoted and loving wife of Larry for 58 wonderful years. Larry often said she was “the best” and proudly credited her with keeping him out of trouble throughout their life together. She was a cherished mother to Liz (Pat) Charlton and Sharon Dahmer, and a proud grandmother to Matthew Dahmer (Sydney) and Victoria Dahmer (2024).

Pre-deceased by her parents James "Jim" and Maria, her brother Sam McCormack, sisters Betty Bradd and Mary (Allan) Wilson, brother-in-law Bob Seager, sister-in-law Linda Schroeder.

Moyra will be lovingly remembered by her brothers-in-law Joe Bradd, and Ray Schroeder and sisters-in-law Heather Seager, Joan (Joe) Bourque, and Pat McCormack. Moyra had many loving nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends who will all miss her very dearly.

Born in Motherwell, Scotland, Moyra emigrated to Canada and became a citizen in 1992. A woman of many talents and a generous heart, Moyra found joy in knitting and crocheting, camping and ceramics. Moyra spent hours outdoors and took much joy and pride in her beautiful gardens. Above all, Moyra treasured time spent with her family and her beloved fur babies — Rosie, Zeus, Angus, Levi, Pinkman and of course T.C. Moyra was a loyal and loud fan of the Tiger Cats (Oskee Wee Wee).

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Moyra’s life will be held in the new year.
