Dear Wendy, Amy, Rob and Family
We were so very saddened to hear of the great loss of dear Peter.  We know he carries on in your hearts and in your collective memory of him and that you are surrounded by the love of family and friends.  Our hearts are with you during this sad time.   We send strength of spirit, warmth and much love to you - and in this time of social distancing, virtual hugs; we will miss Peter's real ones.

You were always special to me and I did look up to you (even though you were a foot smaller than me).
Your laugh became my laugh. So many things i want to tease you about but i figure i will let you rest in peace.

My sincerest  condolences Wendy,  Amy, Matt, Rob and the rest of the family which I believe I have not had the pleasure to meet as of yet. 
Peter will be greatly missed by many I am sure but also by us at Mitek. 
It was always fun to chat with and hear stories from Peter of his lifelong adventures. His love for cars I think is what brought us together many many years ago. 
May your enthusiasm be greatly received in our afterlife, I do hope to be able to hear more stories an continue our relationship there as well.

To ALL OF Peter's family and friends I share in mourning your loss.  

For me it all began in or around 1977 (might even have been summer of 76) when the Meinzer family moved 7 houses away on the small cul de sac where my family lived.  

The Meinzer family became my family more than my own.   Jorg, Al and Jimmy my quasi siblings.  From the age of 9 to 16, Peter was more of a father to me than my own....

With his passing a void has been created that can only be filled by memories. We must believe in eternal life - memories last forever!

I always enjoyed seeing yourself and Peter at Wildcraft, sharing your cruising travel stories or just spontaneous conversation. Peter was always kind, happy and we will all miss him dearly.

I met Peter many years ago and he welcomed me into his family like I was one of his own children.  He was an amazing, committed father.   I have nothing but beautiful and precious memories of many hours spent with his family as Allan's girlfriend.  He was kind but firm -- "could we please borrow the Volvo"?  "No" was the reply more often than not but he would say it with a twinkle in his eye ... then out came the "yes".  Oh, and the music!  so much great music was played at that house, on vinyl of course.   He was a good man, a hard worker and I know he will be missed by all.  Sending love and strength to Jorge and Allan.

When I think of Peter, I think of many things:  his charismatic smile, his incredible sense of humour, his exuberance and his love of cars and music, just to name a few.  But, most of all, I remember him as a father and an adoring partner to you, Wendy.   That was something to look up to.  I feel for you - and with you - on this day. I am so sad to hear of the passing of Peter! I wish I could be there to celebrate your life.   We shared some amazing times together and you were my Father-in-law for such a short time, but I treasured the years we spent together.  You have always been in my heart!
