Robert James Curry passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025 at the age of 73. He was born on September 25, 1951 in Windsor, Ontario, grew up in Cambridge and later settled in Kitchener. He was a kind and generous man, always putting others before himself.
Bob was passionate about his work. His career stretched over a period of 40 years. During that time he worked in various different positions, retiring as the Practice Director of Watson Wyatt Worldwide. He felt very fortunate to have a career that he thoroughly enjoyed.
In his younger years Bob enjoyed playing baseball and held the position of pitcher. He shared his love of baseball with his children by coaching and cheering them on when they started to play the sport. Bob absolutely loved music. Whether it was in the church choir, around a campfire or jamming with his band, Bob could always be found singing a tune or having a guitar in hand. He especially treasured time spent with Elaine and his children. As a family they enjoyed many vacation adventures together. One of his greatest joys was finding out he was going to be a Grandpa and he loved his grandsons dearly.
Bob’s friends and colleagues remember him as a great mentor. He was a devoted family man, funny and had the biggest heart. All who knew him will remember him for his kindness, laughter, and spirit of generosity.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Muriel Curry and brother Jack Curry. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Elaine, children Brendan, Kristin (Josh), Cameron and grandsons Jacob and Mason.
