I miss you Dad. 

The hole in my heat will never be filled, but memories of great times we shared will always be with me. 

I am doing my best to raise my children and family with the same values and love that you gave to me.

Christmas can be a difficult time for many of us who have lost our loved ones during this time. My memories of Wayne and our parents during our younger years are very dear to me since we never celebrated the Christmas holidays without  being together for xmas meals and celebrations. Debbie I hope you and yours celebrate all the great memories of Wayne as I do.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Deb & Family, hard to belive it's 2yrs, still feels like yesterday. 
Wayne has left everyone of us with very special memories and some with his talented work.
There will always be that moment in our day we think of Wayne.

I still have moments during the day were I hear of some situation and I stop and I think what would Wayne have to say about  this and I have stop and say to myself "Sorry pal you will never know."

I truly miss Wayne.

I have just heard of Wayne's passing and wish to express my deep condolences to Debbie and family. Being close cousins in our youth, Wayne and I grew up together with almost monthly get togethers in Guelph or Preston since our parents socialized with a large grouping of cousins, aunts and uncles who were all from Newfoundland. Wayne and I and another cousin Dennis often visited or played together. We lost touch with each other during our late teens but reconnected when neighbours of ours in Barrie Ontario, Rick and Linda,  told us they were close friends of Wayne and Debbie. Fortunately we were able to renew our friendship and enjoy our love of marching band competitions. I live with some wonderful memories of out times together and hope to see Wayne again in our future life !

Wally & I enjoyed the may occasions we were together.  Wayne always had an interesting perspective on what ever topic we would end up discussing. He read so many books & would share the knowledge he gained from them. We came home smarter than when we arrived.
Wayne will be missed so very much by his friends, family & me too.

Dad, 

Trying to come up with words to express my love for you seems like an impossible task. My values, work ethic, and compassion, among other things are all a result of the upbringing that you and Mom provided for me. You were a hard working, dedicated father. You would sometimes show up midway through my little league games in your suit, after coming straight from the office. But I would see you there either cheering or coaching rain or shine. 

The love you showed for my family was obvious every time you saw them. You took an interest in whatever it was they were doing, even if I knew it was something you didn’t find terribly interesting. 

You took on many hobbies over your lifetime. Some remained hobbies, but others became passions. From attending art school, to being an accomplished percussionist, to woodworking and construction. You were never afraid to take on a renovation project or build something, even though you were never trained to do those things. I still have a project on the go in our basement, that I expected you would be able to help with. But I will take your lead, steam forward, and when it is done, I know you will see us enjoying it, and will sit and smile down on us. 

Your health issues over the last few months took their toll on you. They didn’t allow you to spend much quality time with us, but you never complained and you took every hurdle in stride, finding it in you to laugh, come outside (even when you didn’t want to), or just sit together. But that didn’t surprise any of us, because we all knew the type of person you were. 

I’m sure there were a lot of people waiting for you when you crossed to the other side. Enjoy your time catching up and sharing stories about the things they’ve missed. 

You will be missed by many people that you’ve left behind, but you will NEVER be forgotten.

I was very saddened to hear of Wayne’s passing. He lived on Rose Street and I lived on Vine Street in Preston growing up. 
A group of us teenagers loved going to watch the Preston Scout House Band whether it was to their practices or parades or competitions.  Wayne was such an accomplished drummer.  Continue on with the melodies of ‘Waltzing Matilda’,  ‘Wayward Wind’ etc.
Please accept my sincerest sympathies.  May Wayne Rest In Peace.

Rick has already left his thoughts, but I wanted to add some more.  We have loved your calming presence throughout our lives.  Both of you were most helpful during the birth and early years of our children and offering your physical assistance when needed.  We truly loved both of you and hoping to continue see you again Debbie.  I will miss Wayne's distinctive, voice.  Hoping he has a hammer or saw nearby for his renovations.

It was with great sadness that we heard of Wayne's passing. Having known him for over 50 years through drum corps I can attest that he was one of the best drum writers and instructor that we were lucky to be associated with. A great gentle man and fun person to be around. Part of our alumni group were pleased to have him join us for lunch only a week before his passing .  Our thoughts go to Debbie and his family. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Wayne was a very special friend.  We met in the Flying Dutchmen Sr. Drum Corps and immediately hit it off.  Our friendship covered over 50 years.  
Wayne and Debbie are the god parents to my first born daughter.
As our lives rolled by and we did not see or communicated often I found I could just drop in and immediately pick up our friendship right where we left off.
I always found that Wayne had a opinion on most subjects and many of them where first enlightening and secondly he always had a well developed foundation for opinion.
Wayne and I where in three drum corps together and I enveyed  his talents as a drummer, a instructor,  a judge and as an arranger of drum caption for many of the drum corps in southern Ontario.
Wayne and Debbie and the two boys where all part of Linda's and mine family.
I can only say I am in great sorry and lose with the passing of a great individual and a great friend who I know I will miss but my god I have some great memories to carry forward.  Many of them I would say are highlight moments in my life.
