Just learning of the passing of Rupert, He was kind man in the area
very ardent farmer, He loved showing off his garden and vegetables
which was so well maintained an inspiration. He was admired for his
discipline in walking as his exercise.
He will be missed very, quite, with a warm smile
May His soul rest in peace .

Hello I am Shawn Kesselring the neighbour directly across the street. 
Rupert was always kind and considerate to us and always shared a laugh. He would always start a conversation with me by saying, “ Shane, Shane listen here, listen here Shane”. He would get my name wrong every time but it didn’t bother me it would just add to the laughter. And when there was weather we didn’t like we would question each other if we were responsible for the conditions. But we always said there was better weather in Jamaica let’s order that instead. 
He always had a smile or a laugh when he greeted you. 
When our family were away he would watch our place and report anything suspicious. 
My kids and I would help him shovel but he would say oh I got time to do it I need the exercise. 
Rupert you will always be missed and thought of greatly my friend.

He was the best neighbour. I remember growing up, my sister and I had a lemonade and chocolate chip cookie stand outside and he was one of our first customers. He said the cookies were one of the best he's ever tasted. We were absolutely thrilled and tickled! Growing up, we always knew Rupert was our neighborhood security. He knew what was going on and we always felt safe having him there. When I went on my morning walks or evening runs, he was always sitting outside, watching the birds, saying hi to people, and seeming to enjoy the fresh air. He would even sit out in his garage while it was thunderstorming out. Throughout the winters, he would always make a funny joke and blame the cold winter weather on us as we would walk by saying "Did you ask for this snow? Its all here because of you!" And we would laugh and laugh. Rupert, you were an amazing man, neighbor and friend. Thank you for all that you did and the care you always brought. Sending hugs and prayers to your family.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Rupert my entire life. He was my neighbour right across  the street. Rarely a day would go by as a child that we didn’t say hi and have a conversation. Rupert was always so friendly and had something to say to make you laugh. He was so proud of his vegetable garden and would always want to share. Sometimes I joke that my daughters first words were ‘ Hi Rupert’ and that was always followed by Rupert’s giant smile,

So sad to hear of the passing of my friend and neighbor Rupert. We were neighbors for quite a few years. He always had time for everyone and loved showing off with all the fruits and vegetables he was growing in his backyard. Enjoyed some as well. He would always say " Starette, you know what?"  and then he would let me know. He always had some stories to tell. We called him the "neighborhood watch" as he kept his eye out for us. He loved my children and especially my daughter and granddaughter, always had a treat for them. 
I'm going to miss him so much. Gone but will never be forgotten. May he rest in sweet Peace. 😥😥😥😥
Deepest condolences from the Walker Family. 

I have known Rupert for approx. 40 years.  When I was a child he was my neighbour who lived across the street from me.  When I purchased my own home many years later it was a pleasant surprise to see that Rupert was my next door neighbour.  He was the kindest man I have met and has shared many items from his beloved garden and shared his homemade wine.  He watched out for everyone in the neighbourhood and always had a kind hello.  He truly will be missed.
