Loving wife to the late James Beverley Mitchell (1997). Beloved mother of Debra, grandmother of Tracy and great-grandmother “G.G.” to Carter, Owen and Hunter. Dearest sister to Dolly (Frank Hibma). She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents David Watt (1967) and Emma Ford (1992), her sister Jane (2009) and brother David (2021).
Born in Simcoe, she worked at Caswell’s Dairy until 23 when she married her husband James “Bev” Mitchell on May 28, 1960. In 1963 they moved to Kitchener where she worked at Marsland Electrical, then Dare Cookies and then Raymond Snacks who eventually became Murphy’s Potato Chips – Frito Lay. She loved fishing, travelling and singing in the choir at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church for nearly 55 years.
Family and friends may visit Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, on Tuesday, September 2 from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am. Inurnment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
