Theodor “Ted” was born in Germany in 1940 and immigrated to Canada at the age of 16.
Loving husband to Joan Tryggve for 30 years. Dearest father of Paul, Linda and Ted (Joanne Verstege) and step-father of Zohar Jordan of BC. Beloved Poppa of John (Mallory Caudle) and Joshua, and his step grandsons Christopher, David and Bryan Topley. Great grandfather to Braxton, Cohen and Lainey.
Ted is survived by his sisters Marianne Nolte (Manfred) and Renate Westhues (the late Bernie) and predeceased by brothers Alfons (Hanni), Karl (Maria), and Henry (Patsy) and his sisters Else Franke (Rudi) and Hedwig (Franz) Mackenbrock. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at St. Anthony Daniel Parish, 29 Midland Dr, Kitchener on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11:00 am.
