At his home on October 2, 2016 at the age of 69. Loving husband of Linka, predeceased by his parents George and Silvia. Dear brother of the late George (Maria) and Pavel (Victoria), cherished uncle to Calin (Marinika) and their children Kalin and Marin, Ana Bernhardt (Shane) and their son Lucas, and Valentin (Nada) and their son Jason. Trifu was a former employee of M.T.D. for 33 years and will be fondly remembered by all who know him. Family and friends will be received at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be at St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, 2150 Bleams Rd. on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to St. John’s Romanian Orthodox Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario are greatly appreciated.
