Victor Machado

Vitor was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whose life revolved around his family. He worked tirelessly to ensure they had the best possible life, and his family adored him endlessly. Vitor left a lasting, positive impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

A kind, generous, and genuinely good-hearted man, Vitor had a heart of gold. In 1976, he moved to Canada from Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores, with his beloved wife Maria and their son Peter. Through years of sacrifice and determination, Vitor and Maria built a warm, loving home filled with joyful family gatherings and unforgettable vacations.

Vitor will be eternally cherished and deeply missed by his loving wife Maria, his son Peter (Stella), his son David (Carrie), and his grandchildren Aaliya, Brelyne, Hayden, and Ava. He was predeceased by his brother Manuel in 2010 and is survived by his sister Olga, his sister Ligia, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Vitor’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900). A Funeral and Mass will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Cemetery.
