Arvin E. Brown, born on August 18, 1929 and lived in Powell all his life, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 96. He was a proud US Army veteran and served in the Korean War. Arvin was a long time member of Powell United Methodist Church.
Arvin was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Sabra Brown; parents, Horace and Eula Brown; siblings, John M. Brown, William "Bill" Brown, and Emma Thom; grandson, Timothy John "TJ" Brown. He is survived by children, Marcus Brown, Maria Sapp, and Martin (Kathy) Brown; grandchildren, Maria W. Brown, Erin Sapp, Hanson Brown, Jared (Jessica) Sapp; great grandchildren, Keira, Maxell, and Hannah Brown; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will take place Saturday, January 3rd at Lynnhurst Cemetery, meeting at the graveside at 12:45 pm for a 1:00 pm service. Rev. Will Shelton officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Powell United Methodist Church, 323 W. Emory Road, Powell, TN 37849.
