Barbara Joan Sparks Murphy, age 83 passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 due to a long term illness at Life Care Center of Gray, Tennessee. Barbara, a long time caregiver herself loved each and every patient and was cared for herself by all nurses at Life Care Center of Gray. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Maude Sparks, all 11 siblings and her daughter, Vickie Lynn Hice. She is survived by her children; Rhonda Gail Gredig and spouse, David, Sharon Kay Bumgardner Blackburn and spouse, Michael Allen Blackburn, Nikita Jean Bailey and son, Clyde Oscar Murphy, Jr. (Rocky) and spouse, Lynn. Many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Due to Barbara's wishes, a private viewing will be held and no services. The family would like to thank all the care givers at Life Care Center at Gray, especially, Carolyn and Teresa.
