She attended North Knoxville Baptist Church as a child.
Preceded in death by mother, Pearl Sanders Pate; father, Ivan William Pate; brothers: Ivan Grant Pate, William David Pate; sister-in-law, Sue Pate, and nieces: Kathy Greg, Jackie England and Patricia Smith.
Bertha is survived by her son, Gregory Ray Satterfield; sister-in-law, Linda M. Pate; nephew, David Pate; nieces: Sandra Anderson, Elizabeth Smith, Kelly Webb, Marie Tippens and Angela Schermerhorn.
