Billy Earl Robertson Sr.

Robertson, Billy Sr. “Peewee”, age 74 of Knoxville, entered into Heaven and the presence of the Lord, his Savior and was welcomed by his wife of 48 years, Reba Raper Robertson, on January 18, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He was a member and deacon of Glen Oak Baptist Church. His selfless life and kind, gracious heart has been a true testimony of God’s Amazing Grace for many years. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched as a friend and follower of Bill W. and Dr. Bob for 32 years.

In addition to his beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his parents Philmore and Nellie Robertson, grandson Steven Robertson, brothers Floyd and James Robertson, sisters Charlotte Johnson and Helen Miller and son-in-law James Nipper. Billy Sr. is survived by his children Billy Jr. (Yvonne), Sherry Nipper, Phillip (Mary) and Steve (Sherri), five grandchildren and several great grandchildren, brother Charles Robertson, sister Happy Nettle, special friend and caregiver Shirley Bennett and a host of friends and other family who will miss his words of wisdom and penetrating wise eyes.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 5-7pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 7pm in the Lynnhurst\Greenwood Chapel with Rev. David Cloud and Rev. Charlie Reynolds officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45am Thursday for a 10am interment service in the Lynnhurst Cemetery. Friends may leave their condolences at www.lynnhurstchapel.com
