Appendiceal Cancer. Chris received her Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University and her Master's Degree from the University of Tennessee. ln Knox County, Chris had a strong influence on the lives of many students and educators. She was the principal at Shannondale

Elementary School for 19 years, an Elementary Supervisor for Knox County Schools for 7 years, and a Curriculum Specialist at Garden Montessori School for over 4 years. Chris is survived by her loving husband of over 41 years, Daniel Williams; their daughter, Meghan Williams Conner; their son-in-law, Sam Conner; their grandson, Oliver Daniel Lee Conner; two step children and their spouses, Keith and Jane Williams, and Doug and Danielle Sykes; three step grandchildren, Charlie Sykes, Rachael Sykes, and Carly Williams; one brother, Mark Capper; and several beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nephews, and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, H. Norman and Bonnie Capper and her brother, Kirk Capper. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 21,2016 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM with Reverend Max Reddick officiating.
