Wells, Claude Eugene “Gene” age 86 of Knoxville passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014. He was a member of City on the Hill Church. Gene was a Retired Electrician and a Veteran of the United States Army Air Force. Preceded in death by his parents Rev. W.C. and Trula Wells and Lucille Mille and sister Betty Grissom. Survivors include his loving wife Beverly Wells, children Patricia Hansard, Paula Patterson and Pamela Pennington, step-children Pamela Crandall, Richard Stecker, Charles Bingham and Jacki Bingham, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers and sisters Ronald Wells, David Wells and Dora Love and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7pm in the Lynnhurst Chapel with a Funeral Service to follow at 7pm. Pastor Tony Colson officiating. Family and friends will meet Thursday at 11:15am for a 11:30am interment service at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Hwy.
