Apers, Clifford LeRoy age 89 of Knoxville formerly Detroit Michigan passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013. He was of the Baptist Faith and a retired plumber with Local #98 of Detroit, MI. He was a veteran of the United Sates Marine Corps and a lifetime member of the VFW in St. Clair Shores, MI and Key Largo, Fl. Preceded in death by his father Raymond Apers, mother Elnor Apers and step-mother Dorthy Apers, brothers Raymond and Glenn Apers and Raymond Haas, sister Shirley Apers, son James Apers, son-in-law Ledger John Frasard, Elenor Baker Apers and cousin Janet Dane. Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years June Rose Apers, daugher Kathleen Apers Frasard, grandchildren Pam Rice and husband Scott, Cheryl Bruder and husband Doug, great grandchildn Eric and Amanda Rice and Aiden Bruder, cousins Judy Simms and Skip Shaw, step-children Sharen DeBusk and husband David, Robert Brown, Jr. and wife Laura, Francis King and husband Mike, Robin Gouge and husband Steve and Dale Brown and wife Angie, many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will host a celebration of life and reception from 11am-1pm Saturday in the Event Room of Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel.
