

Deborah Yvonne Coffey Wilson passed away suddenly on March 8, 2017 at U.T. Hospital after a battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Jim and Lorraine Coffey and granddaughter of Clif and Pearl Grubb and Miller and Hazel Coffey. Debbie has twin brothers, Nick (wife, Lori) and Dick (wife, Wendy); nephew, Clark (wife Katie and daughter, Leighton); niece, Claire. She has several aunts, uncles and cousins located in Knoxville and Michigan. Debbie loved sports and was an active member of softball teams in her teen years and thru her 30’s and 40’s. She loved to sing and was a member of the Golden Notes Sr. choir at First Baptist Church, Knoxville. Debbie graduated from Holston High School and loved getting together with her classmates at reunions. She also attended Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN where she majored in voice. Debbie worked for many years for Knox County Government, Thompson Boling Arena for the men’s and women’s basketball, as well as the Tennessee Valley Fair for 49 years. The family will receive friends Monday, March 13, 2017 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. from 5-7 pm with the funeral service to follow with Rev. Tom Ogburn, Pastor of First Baptist Church and Rev. Dave Ward, Pastor for Seniors Care. Graveside service will be 11 am, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery.
