Lawson, Dorothy Morris, age 94 of Oak Ridge, passed away June 26, 2010 in Houston, TX. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and a member of Daughters of the King. She was a teacher in the Knox Co. School System for 13 years and enjoyed sewing and traveling. She was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1935 and a graduate of the University of Tennessee Class of 1939. Preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Tenna Morris; husband, Glenn J. Lawson; sister, Isabel (Tom) Long.
Survivors include sons, Glenn (Linda), Charles and John Lawson; brother, Herbert Carl (Mary) Morris; grandchildren, Jessica Carmody, Lizzie Lawson, and Mitchell Lawson and a host of nieces and nephews.
The Lawson family will receive friends Saturday, July 3, 2010 from 12 – 2 pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Graveside services will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery with Father Harry Howard officiating.
