Elnora Jane Myers Bordes

Bordes, Elnora Jane Myers, born October 20, 1928 in Cades Cove, TN, passed away on Saturday February 27, 2011. Elnora was a graduate of Ft. Sanders School of Nursing. She worked as a R.N. in the newborn nursery at St. Mary’s Hospital for over thirty years, and was an active and faithful supporter of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church for more than fifty years. She was preceded in death by: husband Edward Bordes; daughter Nancy Bordes; parents, George and Nancy Myers; brothers, Chester and Hoyle Myers; and sisters, Gladys and Norma Myers. Survivors include: daughters: Rebecca and husband David Toppins, Stephanie and husband Kenny Phelps, Melinda Bordes, Chlotia Bordes, and Diana Gossett; grandchildren: Alison Toppins, Dava Toppins, Tucker Phelps, and Kyle Phelps; Brother Otis and wife Jean Myers; sisters-in-law: Betty Myers, Lee Perino, and Rita Myers; brother-in-law Lenny Bordes; along with many nieces, nephews, and special friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the dedicated staff at Brakebill Nursing Home for their loving care and concern, especially during the last month. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:30-7:30 at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday at 12:45 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service to begin at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jim McClusky and Rev. Mike Segers officiating.
