Rev. George Delton Cochran went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2011. He pastored Kim Watt Baptist Church for over 38 years before retiring and becoming a member of New Christian Rest Baptist Church. Preceded in death by wife, Barbara Jane Cochran and son, George Richard Cochran.
Survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, George and Bonnie Cochran, Wayne and Kim Cochran, Roger and Rita Cochran, Eddie and Linda Cochran and son, Gary Cochran; daughters and son-in-laws, Kim and Robert Jones, Becky and Sam Richards and daughter, Gail Cochran. He has 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 – 8 pm. The funeral service will be at 8 pm in Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Donnie Scarbro, Rev. Mike Goodson, and Rev. Jerry Garner officiating. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 9:30 am Thursday for a 10 am graveside service.
