

Hayes, Glen Drinnen, Sr. (Bud), age 80, went thru Heaven’s gates to be with our precious Lord July 21, 2012, after a long illness. Member of Greenway Baptist Church. 32nd mason, member of Masters Lodge #244. F & A M, Knoxville Scotish Rite Bodies. Worked at Forest Ave. Produce Market until he retired in 1990. He was a veteran of U.S. Army during Korean War. Preceded in death by mother and father, Ellen and Alex Hayes, wife, Mildred Louise (Loy) Hayes, daughter, Carolyn Louise (Hayes) Brooks. Also 9 brothers and sisters.
Survived by children: Kathy and Michael Altom, Glen Drinnen,Jr. and Debbie Hayes,Teffany and Michael Hill. Grandchildren: Raymond Dewey Brooks, Jr., Danny Colangelo, Sabrina Michelle Brooks, Jennifer (Brooks) Cardwell, Glen Drinnen III, Tanner Hill. Great-Grand Daughters: Presley, Penny, McKenzie Brooks, Kaylee, Lexie , Nevaeh Hayes. Lifelong special friend, Mary McDonald.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday with a masonic service at 7:30 P.M. Tuesday with funeral service to follow. Rev. Archie Russell will officiate. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment at 11 A.M. Wednesday. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Arrangements by Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home.
