
Hazel Louise Owens Valentine (known as Louise), age 86 of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 15, 2017. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward Valentine; parents Katie and John Owens; brothers: Ralph Owens (Louise), Paul Owens and Charlie Owens; sisters and brothers-in-laws: Blanche (Shelton) Lafollette, Geneva (Jake) Fawver, Virgie (Fred) Rogers, Polly (Toby) Wilson and Bonnie Noe; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws: Henry (Doris) Valentine and Doel Valentine; sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws: Pauline (Clarence) Rhea, Wilma (McKinley) Whitted, Kate (Calvin) Pryor and Agnes Morrisette and honorary son-in-law John Smith. Louise is survived by her daughter, Robin Renee Valentine Smith and son-in-law Woody; son Dwight Edward Valentine and daughter-in-law Holly; honorary daughter, Pat (Rogers) Smith; grandsons: Colin and Trevor Smith and Ethan Valentine; honorary grandson David Smith; granddaughter, DeLys Valentine and honorary granddaughter Pam Smith Cox (Eric); honorary great grandsons Michael and Isaac Cox. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Georgia Valentine and brother-in-law Troy Noe. Louise had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she dearly loved. She was a loving wife to Edward for 55 years. She was the most loving and sweet mom to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and her husband ran a metal fabrication business, Tec-Fab, for many years. She was an avid member of the Karns Lioness Club and one of her greatest passions was her flowers throughout her yard. Receiving of friends will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 7171 Oak Ridge Highway. The Funeral Service will follow with Pastor Mike Thomas, officiating. Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Everyone is asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:45 am for the service. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Park West Hospital, 4th floor Comfort Care Unit for their care of Mrs. Valentine and her family.
