Henderson H. Byrd age 85 of Knoxville, passed away February 18, 2022 at his home. He was a deacon at Sunset Heights Baptist Church. He retired after 20 years with the U.S. Navy. Preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Rose Byrd and brother, Dwight Byrd. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patsy Byrd; children, Tammy Hanshaw, Robin (Rick) Barry, Vickie (David) Mahaffey, Victor Byrd , Jackie Newman, Ronald (Marie) Byrd and Barbie (Jimmy) Holder; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday at Berry Lynnhurst Chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm. Pastor Steve Wright officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tennessee
