Jack Leon Bright, age 94, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 21, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was a resident of Strawberry Plains/Kodak, TN. Jack was a long time member of Timothy Street Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for over 41 years. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Jack was owner and operator of Bright's Paint & Body Shop for over 45 years.
He was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Stella Bright; son, Jack "Jacky" Bright, Jr.; brother, Harold Bright. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Joan Bright; son, Rick (Susan) Bright; daughter-in-law, Linda Bright; grandchildren, Jack Bright III, Josh Bright, RJ Bright, Aaron Bright, and Marissa Lane; great grandchildren, Caroline Lane, Sawyer Lane and August Bright.
Graveside service will take place (weather permitting) Wednesday, January 28th at 1pm at Lynnhurst Cemetery, meeting at the graveside at 12:45 pm. Rev. Tim Dennis officiating.
