Bowling, James Carl passed away peacefully on February 7, 2014 with his beloved wife and children by his side. We were blessed to have been with him when he left us for Eternity. It is so hard to describe with mere words, the kind of man that he was or how grateful we are to God for giving him to us for this short time. He loved and sacrificed for his family in every word and deed and true to his Christian faith, he treated his neighbor as himself. He was kind and loving and was always full of good humor and laughter. Children and animals had a special affinity for him and he enjoyed and loved them with a special tenderness. He was born to Green Bowling and Flonnie Bryant Bowling 84 years ago. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Moses Bowling, daughter, Lynda Thomas (Ben), son Fred Bowling (Julie), daughter Deborah Ellis (Danny), and daughter Christa Bowling, granddaughter Jennie Bowling, grandsons Darren Ellis, Seth Bowling and Lee Ellis. His brother Selbourn Bowling, sisters Jessie Lee Delk and Helen Beams (along with several nieces and nephews) are left to mourn the loss of their brother and uncle. Also, our family extends a special thanks to Janice Davis for her love and support to our family during this difficult time and to Tennova Residential Hospice for their kind and tender care of him during his short stay. Thank you Heavenly Father for your mercy and blessings which you have poured out on this family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you please make a donation to Tennova Residential Hospice. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8pm in the Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel. Family and friends will meet Monday at 1:45pm in the Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 2pm interment service with Rev. Glenn Metts officiating. Friends may leave their condolences at www.lynnhurstchapel.com
