Janie Sue Ballinger

Janie Sue Ballinger, age 78, of Clinton, Tennessee went to meet her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. She was a long time member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church where she was the church Nursery Director for 25 years. Janie was a pharmacy technician at Walgreens and Norwood Pharmacy in Knoxville for over 40 years. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a child of God.

Janie was preceded in death by father and mother by love, Ernest and Bertha Chamberlain; mother, Opal Hayes; brother, Lanny Chamberlain.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Johnny Ballinger; sons, Ty (Tonya) Ballinger and Guy (Susan) Ballinger; grandchildren, Colton Ballinger and Ashley Canant, Matt (Caitlyn) Berry, Zach (Taylor) Ballinger, Paige Ballinger, Chesni (Alex) LaRue, Cade Ballinger and Chloe Krutyansky; great grandchildren, Korbyn Ballinger, Harry Freels Berry, Charlotte Berry, Everliegh LaRue, Blake Ballinger, Arbor Ballinger, Kinley LaRue; step brother, Steve (Sherri) Allen; fur babies, Daisy and Tucker.

A visitation for Janie will be held Monday, October 2nd from 6-8 PM at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, 405 Black Oak Dr, Knoxville, TN 37912 with funeral service to follow at 8 PM. Rev. Todd Stinnett officiating. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 West Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918 Tuesday, October 3rd 10 AM for the graveside service.
