June was born June 20, 1930 to Fred T. and Trula L. Williams Sr., in Knoxville, Tennessee. She grew up in the Burlington area attending Knoxville High School. In the early 1960s, she moved to the Washington DC area where she lived in Virginia and Maryland. She worked for the US Federal Government in Washington, DC. for the Securities and Exchange Commission retiring on May 3, 1991 after 25 years of service.
After living in North Port, Florida, for several years, she returned to Knoxville in 2001. She was a member of Central Baptist Bearden and a member of the Eastern Star in good standing since September 1948. She was a Past Worthy Matron and a current member of the Burlington Chapter No. 458.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert L. McCulloch; sons Ralph (Ed) and David, and daughters Ann and Amy Turner; step sons Bob and Steve McCulloch; step daughter Claire McCulloch; granddaughters Lisa Larkin, Jennifer Landers, Nicole, Samantha, and Jelena Turner, and Brianna Giles; grandsons Adam Alderson, David Turner, and Garrett Giles; step grandson Will, step granddaughters Jennifer, Meaghan and Katelyn McCulloch; great granddaughters Emma and Sarah Larkin, great grandsons Nathan and Andrew Landers and Evan (deceased) and Ryan Alderson. She is also survived by other cousins, nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her love of the Smokey Mountains. She enjoyed shopping for clothes and shoes, cooking for her family, playing golf, sewing and reading. Her favorite author was John Grisham and was a collector of all his books. We will always remember that she was not a morning person and it was not a good idea to talk to her before she had her first cup of coffee. She was the baby of five children and was spoiled by her family. We will always miss and love her very much.
