June Wright Ison

ISON, JUNE WRIGHT, age 95, of Chattanooga, passed away November 6, 2013. She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on June 19, 1918. She moved to Chattanooga in 1942. She was preceded in death by husband, Ira Ison, Jr. Mrs. Ison is survived by son, Jim Ison and wife, Margie of Knoxville; granddaughter, Debbie Williams and husband, Jeff and great-grandsons, Alex and Josh Stidham of Knoxville; granddaughter, Jill McMillan and husband, David of Knoxville and great-granddaughter, Brittany Benziger and husband, Taylor of Atlanta; great-granddaughter, Brigitte Bond and husband, Travis and great-great granddaughter, Eliana Bond of San Diego, CA; nephews, Steve Gass and wife, Jane and Michael Gass of Chattanooga; special friend and caregiver, Pam Whaley of Chattanooga. Mrs. Ison thought of Pam as her daughter. Mrs. Ison was a cosmetologist and owned a beauty shop in Chattanooga for several years. She was a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 1:00-2:00p.m. at the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, Tn 37918.
