

Lola Sharp, born on December 16, 1932, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on February 21, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born and raised in Knoxville, and was a 1952 graduate of Rule High School. Lola was a long time member of Lonsdale Baptist Church where she was the lead soloist in the choir. Her love for music led her to sing at numerous events including weddings and funerals across Knoxville. Lola was a dedicated educator with Knoxville City and County school systems, where her love for learning was a legacy to her students.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Sharp; parents, Charles and Beulah Price; daughter, Lisa; grandson, Chris; siblings, Edna, J.D., Charles, Connie, Sam, and Libby. She is survived by her son, Monty (Amy) Sharp; grandson, Bryan (Jessica) Mays; great grandchildren, Jacob and Caitlin; several, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and additional family.
The family would like to thank Parkview Senior Living, Morning Pointe of Powell, Beverly Park Place, and UT Hospice for their tender love and care.
Family will receive friends Saturday, February 28th from 12-2pm with funeral service at 2pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with Chaplain Greg Bennett officiating. A private entombment will take place at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
