Lonni Ivan Horner

Lonni Ivan Horner, age 3 months tragically passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. He came into the world prematurely 8 weeks early. Lonni had just learned to smile, coo, and recognize Mommy's voice. Halen was the best big brother. He loved holding, kissing, singing to his little brother, and helping Mommy take care of him. Lonni had a dramatic, feisty personality. Though fragile in size, he was a strong fighter. He enjoyed Mommy's cuddles and despised tummy time. Lonni loved his paci; it was comforting to him since his NICU days. We were mesmerized by his beautiful blonde hair with shades of red. Even though our time with him was cut short, he was loved unconditionally and forever changed our hearts.

Lonni was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Charles R. Smith and Donald Troutt; great grandmothers, Carla Emert, Bernice Smith, and Geneva Burchfield; grandfather, Ronald Dokes; cousin, Kensington Horner. He is survived by mother, Emilee Horner; brother, Halen Horner; great grandfather, Rainey Childress; grandfather, David Horner; grandmothers, Amanda Smith and Amber Cochran; great grandmothers, Sheila Childress, Angela Troutt, Pamela Cummings, and Donna Cochran; special aunt and uncle, Hope and Josh Nevius; many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love we have received and thank you for your continued prayers during this difficult time.

Family will receive friends Friday, September 26th from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with funeral service following at 7pm. Family and friends will gather at Berry Lynnhurst Chapel Saturday, September 27th at 12:30pm for a 1pm graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lynnhurst Cemetery to cover burial expenses.
