Melissa Anne Buck, age 68, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. She was a Knox County elementary school teacher for 34 years. Melissa was a member of the Knox County Teachers Association. She was also a member of Central Baptist of Bearden. Melissa was an accomplished piano player and greatly enjoyed crafting in her spare time.
Melissa was preceded in death by mother, Kylene Elizabeth Sherrod; father, Maynard Otis Paul; brother, Dewayne Paul; grandmother, Edna Virginia Moyers. She is survived by her sons, Jon Alexander (Jennifer) Buck and Zachary Thomas (Janet) Buck; grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin, Luna and Laila Buck and Lucas Armstrong; sister, Linda Detienne; nieces, Linn Vaughn and Shanon Detienne; nephew, Aaron Detienne.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 25th from 12-2pm with funeral service at 2pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with Rev. Megan Potter officiating. Graveside service will be private for family only at Greenwood Cemetery, 3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918.
