Pansy Nichols Carter McGhee, born April 27, 1913, in Mohawk, Tennessee, passed away on October 31, 2016 at age 103 at NHC, Knoxville. Preceded in death by parents, Walter Nichols and Lura Cantrell Nichols; brothers, Ray, Claude, and Clyde Nichols; step sisters, Myrtle Nichols Spoone, Louise and Lura Nichols; first husband, Roy L. Carter; second husband, Boyd C. McGhee; daughter, LaWanda Carter Bebb; son in law, Russell H. Bebb, Jr. Survived by son, Roy Duane (Linda) Carter; granddaughter, Kimberly (Graham) McNeil; grandsons, Bart (Marcia) Carter, Brett (Kim) Carter, Russ (Lisa) Bebb, Chris (Sherry) Bebb; great grandchildren, Nicholas (Amanda) Bebb, Alex, Meghan, Hannah, Sophie, Daniel, Lilly, Abigail Bebb, Noah, Reece and Campbell Carter; 3 step grandchildren, Sierra, Chelsea and Noah Purdy; 1 great great granddaughter; niece, Rita (Ron) Allison of South Carolina; nephew, Randall (Martha) Nichols of South Carolina; grandniece, Katina (Ron) Degler of South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Smithwood Baptist Church, 4914 Jacksboro Pk, Knoxville, TN 37918. Family will receive friends Thursday from 11 am – 1 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Graveside service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Mark Gaskins officiating.
