Though Paulette and I have been separated for a long time by distance and sporadic communication, we were never separated in heart. We had much in common. Our German backgrounds, our scoliosis, our time at Mercy farm, including our forbidden talks about the problems of said farm while we were working together in the privacy of the walk-in refrigerator. Clandestine discussions indeed! Those gigantic white overcoats were hilarious. 

She helped me set up our ministry mailing list on our first computer. Errol and I were invited to a couple of her Lunchtime Bible Study retreats to provide worship music. 

There were quite a few visits between Denver and Cheyenne. 

Fellowship with Paulette was deep, rich, and real. I love her giggles. One of the few people who looks you in the eyes. Ever my beloved friend and my forever sister in the Lord. She is truly in the embrace of Jesus and we are left feeling the emptiness until we reach our own ascension to eternity.

I miss you mommy!! Every day I wish you were here and sometimes I forget that you are not. Those are the days that are the most sad because then I remember you are gone. You are are always with me in my heart but sometimes that's not enough. I love you so much!!!

Paulette was a beautiful lady inside and out..  she came to me to take care of her beautiful hair.. I loved our conversations. She was a very spiritual woman. She gave me much needed spiritual inspiration and insight.. I will miss her deeply. She is in the house of our Lord have comfort in knowing. May god be with her loved ones.

Paulette read this every morning when she woke up.

On Feb 26, 3 days before she passed was the surge before death day. She ask to see her Mother.  She called for a deathbed family meeting. She announced what to do with 3 things.  The curio cabinet the cedar chest, and the 6 photos of the older generation of the family on the stair's wall.  The cabinet and chest were to go to Hannah. The 6 photos were not her mother’s they were hers and she commanded: “leave those photos on the wall.”  It was awesome to see my love clear up what to do with those items that her mother was claiming as hers.  Immediate family who were there were Her Mother, Bruce, Heather, Ben and Katie. Cousin Linda Lou was also present

Paulette was such a wonderful Christian lady.  My parents, Bob and Marge Hall, loved working with her in the jail ministry in Denver, CO.  I (Joy), had some wonderful talks with her about Jesus and witnessing to others.  I want to show the love of Jesus to others as Paulette did.  She was such an encouragement.  I wish I could've been in one of her Bible studies.

At one point she was worried that GOD did not have anything for her to do.  God gave her a dream showing an archer holding and arrow pulled back ready to shoot.  She understood that she was the arrow and GOD was the archer.  She was waiting on the Lord and renewing her strength.  She started writing her own materials and teaching in the work place at lunch.  At the highest point of this teaching ministry there were 40 women using her materials to teach Bible studies in the work place.  She owns the trade mark “Lunch Time Bible Studies” so that later when all the big ministries started their groups studying the bible at lunch they could note use that name.  In late January when she was in the hospital to find out why her white blood count was way too high, I said to her that GOD is our healer and that he might take you to heal you.  In early February after we had the diagnosis we were talking and she said to me that she felt like GOD was going to take her.  We both knew that GOD was about to take her, we just did not know how fast he would be.  Paulette’s love of Jesus was strong to her last breath.  She fought the good fight right to the end.

First half of my talk today at Paulette's Funeral:

Paulette was the best thing to happen to me.  Our life together was a gift from GOD that neither of us expected. 

She had an experience when she was 4 years old and had pneumonia where she felt 2 hands lifting her up and putting her back down.  She remembered hearing the Doctor say “and she’s back”.  Shortly after that there was an evangelist who preached a message at the church her family was attending at the time. She went to the alter and her father was there. She said that she wanted Jesus in her life.  During her entire life she never wavered.  She was mentored in small group bible teaching by a friend who also got her trained as a fourth level Precepts small group teacher which included how to write her own teacher and student work books.  Writing those study materials was her devotional every day until just recently when she was too week to get up and work on her computer.  


We took our last over seas trip in Oct. 28 to Nov 15 2020 just after Egypt opened up again after Covid started.   This photo is of the Temple of Hathor on Nov. 9.  Paulette and I loved traveling together.

We took many trips inside the USA also. too many to list.
Her last request of me is to take a trip that we have been wanting to take since we moved to TN in May of 2019.  I will fulfill that last request soon.

We were sister-in-laws, but so much more!  You were my best friend all through high school and youth group and church.  You were such an encouragement and support throughout my life on every level.  Your faith in Christ  was such an inspiration and blessing to me and the life of my family.  Your prayer support, and teaching gifts, and sacrificial life were so incredible.  You were such a gift to all of your family and the Body of Christ.  I know there are treasures laid up in heaven for you!  I know you are dancing and rejoicing in His presence, free of pain, and for that I'm grateful.  I will miss your presence here on this earth as you enriched my life and the lives of others in so many ways.  I love you Paulette.  Will see you again!

God showed me just how much He loved me when He gave me you! I can't tell my story without mentioning you. I love you and will hold you in my heart forever.

All summer Paulette wanted to get a little bird.  We look at many pet stores and the only birds we could find was parakeets, not what she wanted.  In late September we went on one of our regular day trips the Dandridge for the Scottish Festival.  We had seen all we wanted to and had lunch.  We were walking out and saw a man with a beautiful Parrot on his shoulder.  His wife had a beatufull cockatoo on her shoulder.  While talking with them Paulette said that she was looking for a small bird.  next thing he was looking at a video on his phone at which he said "i think this one is ready to go".  He turned out to be i bird rescuer.  Kiwi, the little bird you see here came home with us the next day after church.   

Paulette was such a lovely woman. She had a very kind heart. I was lucky enough to grow up with her daughter, and spent much of my time at their house. 
She always made me feel like a welcome part of the family. And gave me a safe and cozy space in my sometimes unsettling world. I will appreciate that for the rest of my life. Thank you Paulette, your memory will be treasured by so many!

Prayers to you Bruce and all of Paulettes family.  Whenever I spoke or saw or spent anytime at all with Paulette she was always smiling and so kind and gracious and wanted the best in others.  I'll never forget how welcoming she always was.  God Bless.

Paulette was an incredible Christian woman. I got to know her through Bible study and attending church with her in Colorado. Even though she moved halfway across the country, we were still able to stay in touch through Facebook. She was a blessing to me and I’m pretty sure, all who knew her. There’s no doubt in my mind she is rejoicing in heaven. Our loss is definitely heaven’s gain. There are so many of us looking forward to meeting again one day, and I am so glad to know she is one of those who will be welcoming other saints to their eternal homes. She fought the good fight. She has finished the race….and what an incredible reward she has reaped! Looking forward to seeing you again, my sister in Christ. 
 

I met Paulette in 1996 through the Vineyard Church. We participated in Bible studies and women’s retreats together. Then in 2005, she opened her home to me for 6 months when I left my marriage. She was a support and safe landing place. Our friendship continued and I rejoiced at her marriage to Bruce in 2009. Theirs was a true Christ-centered partnership and they adored each other. In 2015, I went to live in China to teach English Composition. Over the years, about once a semester, Paulette was again my support and spiritual resource. When living and working with the foreigners got on my last nerve, I knew I could send her an email to vent. Using her wisdom and empathy, she responded with promises from Scripture and assurances that I was following God’s plan for my life. When I came home several summers, she and Bruce graciously opened their home to me for a week. Paulette supported me over the years and was a model of Christ’s sacrificial love. I will miss her greatly.

We are cousins, we grew up together, we have been close to each other’s hearts and souls throughout life. We went to church camp together in the summer and spent vacations at Grandma Katie Wolf’s house where we enjoyed her flowers and played endless hours of barbie doll. We kneeled with her beside her bed when she prayed with us. We especially shared our love for Jesus together.  I will always remember our  giggles and laughter and when I use certain words and some expressions I see her in myself. I have gratitude for you in my life dear Paulettie! Thank you Jesus for the gift of friendship and family throughout Paulette’s life.

No matter what I did my Nana always made me feel loved and appreciated. I wish I could've spent a lot more time with her but I am thankful for the times that I did have. She may be gone but her love is still alive. I can feel it. I love you Nana. Your memory will live on. Rest in paradise.

Please know I share your great sorrow at the loss of a very precious woman and mentor to me!  When I think of the 5 most influential people in my life, she is ONE! I have been graced the privilege to worship, grow and learn from her! She was truly a faithful disciple of Christ & leader in her home, workplace, church, community & ME!
Many tears mixed with smiles flow as write this small tribute.  Losing her is one the hardest valley we all now must travel in this world.  Yet I know she would tell me (us), God’s Word gives you (us) the assurance that we will victorious over sadness and pain through the power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  The way to honor her life is to continue to fight the good fight, finish the race and keep the faith pointing EVERYTHING to Jesus, who came, lived, crucified, died, rose from the grave, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will come again! I march on my faithful friend and oh how I have loved you!  Such a light shining on a hill for so many years; it is hard to imagine no longer seeing your shining face here on Earth.  May I be a continuation of your light for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, saving one sinner at time!  When I see you, I see Jesus! You brought so much joy to my heart and were the sword that sharpened my sword. Such an excellent example of what it meant to be Christ-like.  Such a wonderful role model for me in my walk with the Lord.
You gave your life to the Lord serving faithfully to the end!  Your reward is great and now you are meeting many have gone before you but most importantly you are seeing face to face Jesus!  I know I will be joining you again! Dan & I continue pray for all of you and ask God to comfort you and give you His strength with peace that is beyond our understanding. We walk with you on this journey and want to provide loving support in any way we can. Much Love & Prayers! 

As a partner with Paulette in  ministry since 1988 I will miss her tremendously.  She was such a faithful servant of Christ and a blessing and model for me. 
I rejoice when I visualize her fulness of joy!!! I"m a little envious!!!
She never died...just moved from here to Heaven to be with Jesus and I know that He said "Well Done my Good and Faithful Servant."  I so look forward to sitting with her again one day and for eternity.

I loved her enthusiasm in traveling to the Holy Lands. She and Bruce took advantage of the incredible opportunities to see and experience  what was already an important part of their lives. 
Paulette and I had many conversations of what God can do in our lives when we trust Him through difficult circumstances. Her faith carried her through many valleys,  but even then, she desired to focus on the Sufficiency and Love of God. She challenged me to pursue writing and sharing that same Grace of God that she had written about. Thank you Paulette for being such an example of faith. Grateful you have been blessed to have entered your final home and freed from this dark world. Looking forward to seeing you soon! 

I never had the pleasure of meeting Paulette in person but I still feel as she was apart of my life for the last 20 years as I have been lucky enough to have two of her daughters as my best friends. Paulette was able to leave her legacy through her four amazing children and in turn all of her amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren. I know she will be loved and missed by many but I feel deep in my heart she will always be watching over her loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Paulette always tried to see the good in everything and everyone. She was so kind to me from the start. When most everyone around judged me and were hateful for no reason,  Paulette treated me like family. She helped me find my path back to the Lord when I had thought I couldn't find him again. She always encouraged my family. I would often reach out for advice or even just to hear some kind words. Paulette will not be forgotten and will be dearly missed! ❤️

We are so sad to learn of Paulette's passing. She was such a kind person. Always had a smile. She will be deeply missed.
