

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church for many years. Phyllis retired from American General Insurance after 50+ years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles Henry Parks; parents Rev. James “Edd” and Conilee Ramsey Spencer; brothers John and Jim Spencer; sisters Barbara June Perkey and Iona Sue Chesney.
Phyllis leaves behind her son Steve (Becky) Parks; grandchildren Brandon (Beth), Eric (Lindsay), and Chad (Emily); great-grandchildren Hudson, Madison, Brady, Anderson, Campbell, Sullivan, Ellie, Mollie, Etta, and Henry; siblings William (Joyce) Spencer, Mary (Stanley) Williams, and Ronald (Patsy) Spencer.
The grandsons and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers to honor their Granny.
The family would like to thank her caregiver, Muffie Duggan; as well as her nurses, Jessica and Kim, and the entire staff at Well Park Health and Rehabilitation for the love and care they all provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church, 6014 Babelay Road, Knoxville, TN 37924, in her memory.
The family welcomes friends to meet at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home at 10:30am on Saturday, June 28, 2025, to go in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11am Graveside Service, officiated by Pastor Kevin Roberts.
