Dukes, Rayford “Ray” Justus, Sr. age 73 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011. He was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Dukes and Edna “Dukes” Vest; daughter, Angela Dukes; brother and sisters, Lozina Dukes, Hurl Dukes, Margie Bowers, Doyle Dukes, and Richard Vest.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn Russell Dukes; son, Rayford Justus Dukes, Jr., Robin Gregory and husband, Mitch; grandsons, Jordan Rutherford, Christopher Lamb, and Jessie Dukes; brothers and sisters, Bruce Dukes, Herbert Dukes, Cecil Dukes, Sue McCallum, Robert Vest and wife, Nelda, Jake Vest, Jr. and wife, Lauri, Judy Vest, and Rhonda Vest.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 – 8 pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 8 pm with Pastor Steve Ross officiating.
