I only had the opportunity to know you. But the amazing stories I've heard you are a kind, loving man and you will be missed , your spirit and  knowledge will remain with all who met you.Thank You for being a father figure that you were to my brother Bill. I hate that Richard is gone. He played a huge part in my childhood. I have so many good memories of going to the cave and hanging out with him. I loved grossing him out when we did the haunted cave!!!! So happy that my kids got to meet him. He will definitely be missed my friends and family. Thanks for everything Richard! You made my childhood awesome!

It was a sad day when i heard of Richard's passing. He was a good man and put a smile on my face every time I saw him since I was 8. I will continue to smile every time I think of him. My thoughts our with you guys. Love you all!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Betty and the family. Richard welcomed my family into the cave and made my kids childhood a little more fun and interesting. So many weekends spent camping and putting on the Haunted Cave will always be some of the best memories my friends and family will have. Richard and Betty will always be a part of our very close knit group that took pride in Indian Cave and The Haunted Cave. I will miss his smile and his welcoming nature.

I am proud to call Richard my friend. I will miss getting the chance to come and see him. I pray that God will bless the family with love and comfort.

Rip Richard aka Chief.you will be greatly missed by many.fly free so till we meet again!

Richard aka Chief was always a good friend and did so much for our family and we always enjoyed seeing him at karaoke.him and his wife Betty always did for others no matter what the cost may be.he was very full of life abd always had a smile on his face.he told me alot about the native life and how he grew up and his storiee about indian cave but he always had great ones.he helped mom out when her and my sister wrecked but made sure they got home safe.he was very giving and always thought positive.he will be greatly missed and his battle with cancer came to an end and is now home with our lord and savior and so I say RIP Chief Grainger county will never be the same without you and please tell my nanny hello.ill pray for your family so till we meet again rip and watch over us.spread your wings and fly free. :-)
